FAQ’s

Find answers to the most common pricing and scoping questions. If you have a question that is not covered here, reach out and we will scope the right next step.

Is pricing fixed or custom?

We use fixed pricing when the work is repeatable and bounded. Workshops, audits, and strategy sprints are fixed-fee, implementation programs use phased scopes, and ongoing managed services use a retainer or hybrid model so the budget matches the systems, stakeholders, and delivery risk.

When should we start with strategy?

Start with strategy when the opportunity is real but the first build is not obvious. We audit workflows, systems, data readiness, and business priorities, then turn that into a practical roadmap for AI, data, analytics, or activation work.

What happens after an implementation sprint?

After a sprint, we review what shipped, what proved value, and what still needs operational hardening. From there, teams usually continue into a phased implementation program, a retainer, or a managed support model.

Do you work with existing teams and partners?

Yes. Brainforge can operate as the implementation team, an embedded specialist layer, or a partner to your internal data, engineering, GTM, and leadership teams. We also support partner co-sell and vendor coordination when that is part of the engagement.

How do you prevent scope creep?

We define the decision, workflow, system, or operating outcome before work starts. Each engagement has a clear scope, delivery owner, assumptions, and expansion path, so new ideas can be captured without quietly changing the original commitment.

Can we start small and prove value before committing?

Yes — most engagements open with a bounded first step (a workshop, audit, or short proof-of-concept) built to deliver real value in the first few weeks. You decide whether to continue into a phased implementation from there, so you're proving worth as you go instead of signing up for everything up front.

How fast will we see results?

The first phase is deliberately short — usually a few weeks (often four to eight) to reach a concrete, usable outcome rather than months of planning. We start with the highest-impact use case to land an early win, then iterate. Exact timing depends on scope, data readiness, and how quickly we get access.

Why hire Brainforge instead of building this in-house?

Most teams could do the work but don't have the time, and would spend months learning what we test in-market every week. We come in as a senior implementation team — not slideware, not staff augmentation — and upskill or hand off to your team as we go. It's the fastest path to the outcome, at a fraction of the time and cost of building the capability internally.

Who actually does the work — do we get senior people?

You work directly with senior practitioners. Engagements are typically staffed with a small team — a solutions architect, a senior engineer, and a delivery lead — not a rotating bench of junior resources. The people who scope your work are the people who deliver it.

Can pricing be tied to outcomes, or is it all fixed up front?

We price on outcomes, not billable hours. Bounded, repeatable work is a fixed fee, so you know the number before we start, and ongoing work runs on a retainer or hybrid. For longer engagements we can discuss performance-linked structures once there's a baseline to measure against.

Do we pay for discovery separately, and does it count toward the build?

Larger projects usually begin with a paid discovery or scoping phase — it's how we size the work accurately instead of guessing. It's a fixed fee, and it can be credited toward implementation if you continue with us, so you're not paying twice for the same step.

If we start, are we locked in — or can you hand it off to our team?

There's no long lock-in, and everything we build is yours. We keep the initial commitment small enough to judge the value first. Some clients keep us on in a retainer or embedded role to run and extend the work; others take it fully in-house — we've done clean handoffs both ways.

How do you handle our data, security, and compliance?

Your data stays in your environment and under your ownership — we work within your existing security, SSO, and access controls rather than moving data into outside tools. We regularly operate under NDAs and in compliance-heavy settings like healthcare and government, and we scope access and governance with your security team before any work begins.
